Teacher Externship Initiative
The Teacher Externship Initiative is a contextual learning
opportunity for all educators. Its main purpose is to develop
opportunities for educators to explore the world of work and
enhance the linkages between academic learning and career
preparation. Teachers who participate in this effort will be
able to take first-hand experience from the workplace and
directly integrate those experiences into their curriculum.
Teachers will understand the diversity of skills students will
need to be successful in the competitive global workplace of
tomorrow.
